Depressed? Try gambling.

How, I mean really how did they get the go ahead to put adverts on the telly for gambling? If you feel a little low or if you're short of cash, have a gamble. If the government want to make people happier they should put on Lead boots and jump into the Thames. There is nothing in the world to cheer a person up than realising that they have just lost next weeks shopping money and can't feed themselves nor the kids. Perhaps they should follow those adverts with the new "Do it yourself gallows kit". "Lost all your money gambling? Can't afford any food, fags or beer?" " You need the new Pierrepoint, self assembly, home hanging kit" " Don't worry if you have no garage, everything you need is inside.."

We had too many people complaining about very frothy beer so had to drop our old style delivery vehicle. The Space Hopper has been retired from service. Not only that but in order to get it to work properly for Gig to drive it, we had to inflate it to 450 PSI. This represented an almost terrorist like threat as he made his way up Wakering High St. If that baby had blown it would have felled the church spire. I would have loved to be a bystander to see him touch down tho...

Good bye old friend. Just had it serviced too.

The Wakering Pale is brewed again. We have commissioned the new FV and it has pride of place inside that right now. Tomorrow will see us attempt to replicate the beer that was The Rochford Banshee. Lord help us. I had to search high and low for a Christmas pudding although the scratchings were easy enough to find.

Real Ale is coming (going) to Basildon! The Gunn at Bowers Gifford have ordered 4 casks being delivered tomorrow. Freak Show 4: Dana Hops, Wallasea Wench, Warlock Black IPA and Hop Monster Howler are at their beer fest starting this Friday 04/05/12.. woo hoo..

The Punch Bowl have continued to order beer with Freak Show 4:Dana Hops and Broadsword heading there tomorrow also. Good shout Bernie.

I have swaps coming from Jarrow Brewery again and The Harwich Town Brewing Co. Looking forward to that.

Don't forget to look into The Mayflower in Olde Leigh Town as they have us on permy now.

Tata for now.

Rain

We put the finishing touches on our Ark this morning like installing the handpumps etc. We've got the malt and hops on board and as we speak are loading the casks of ale on 2 by 2. A pair of Howler's, a brace of Wench's, a couple of Gold's and so on. Tomorrow Gig is going to start to putting up the fine mesh at the windows and doors in readiness for the pestilence. All this heavenly rage is of course Tommy Cameroon's fault with his blatant disregard for the welfare of common folk and putting beer duty up.

I had a young lady telling me the other day that I shouldn't be whinging on about life etc on my blog but that I should stick to beer talk. I had to point out that it was indeed my blog and that if thine eye offends thee, pluck it out! Well I didn't say that but I did say it was my blog so I'd whinge about what I wanted and that a click of a mouse would end all my moaning. She did have a point though, however, if all I ever spoke about was beer I'd be thought of as some kind of anorak.

I see Niquitin is still guaranteed to give you hallucinations of 70's rock bands. Beats LSD any day.

I will put a pic of the new van here when we get the water out of it after the floods have died down. It looks nice with all its colourful livery but odd with the fish swimming around inside it like a giant french fishbowl. Yeah it's a Citroen.

By having a diff theme on each side, everyone thinks I have 2 vans..Laughing

I have been approached to supply beer to the Leigh Folk Festival, the Leigh Art Festival and the Southend Cricket Festival. The beer will be called Festival Ale and will be based on our old Wakering Pale recipe that seemed to go down well. That was the beer that had the Nelson Sauvign hops and was very distinctive.

The Rochford Banshee will be brewed on Thursday as we are putting 6 of them into the Cambride beer fest. Better hurry up.. its to be delivered on 16th May Frown

See ya.
